At the LVMH Watch Week 2022 event, where multiple brands announce their new products, one of the new models unveiled by Bvlgari was the Octo Roma Blue Carillon Tourbillon. This is a complication watch equipped with a complex mechanism of a tourbillon and minute repeater.

Modern interpretation is an essential element for Bvlgari and is utilized in the daily development of watchmaking. This work combines two ancient traditional mechanisms while expressing them in a modern way through the brand's unique design. It redefines the tradition of watchmaking into modernism.

The most eye-catching feature of this watch is the skeleton movement, with bridges dyed blue by carbon-based vacuum deposition. The three-hammer hand-wound movement Cal. BVL428 is 35 mm in diameter, 8.35 mm thick, and made up of 432 parts.

The gongs, an important part of a striking watch, are made by hand through multiple processes. After cutting and filing to form the shape, they are annealed at approximately 900 degrees and then placed in a furnace at approximately 500 degrees to smooth the surface. This allows the striking mechanism to resonate with a clear sound. Also, like Kong, the hammers are filed to adjust the resonating tone. The three-hammer carillon, which produces three different tones, plays a melody with "C" for hours, "E-D-C" for quarters, and "E" for minutes.
